In the blossoming of Shareware in the early 1980, C-Ware released PCC, a shareware version of DeSmet C. This was the venerable version 2.51 with a new name and fewer bundled programs. Programs written for 2.51 compiled and linked to identical files when PCC was used.

PCC availability as shareware has kept it alive, and so it can still be found floating around the web.

If you want a better manual and more "goodies", pick up a copy of version 2.51.
